Ellie Glorioso is an American cellist based in Cleveland, Ohio. As a fully registered Suzuki cello teacher with over 10 years teaching experience, Ellie imparts her knowledge and love of music to her students while teaching them to be good global citizens and pursue excellence in all areas of life. She instructs at both the Cleveland Institute of Music’s Sato Center for Suzuki Studies and The Music Settlement, drawing students from all around Greater Cleveland. Ellie is passionate about providing music education not just at home, but all over the world. As a proud founding member of the Cleveland Music Exchange, she helped develop an organization that connects skilled teachers with developing global music communities. For the past several summers she has traveled with CME to Harare, Zimbabwe where she works with a team of musicians providing lessons, workshops, and concerts that help raise funds for local music teachers to receive Suzuki certification. Most recently she is collaborating with a music program in Chihuahua, Mexico. Ellie is also an active chamber and orchestral musician performing with ensembles such as Cleveland Opera Theatre, Opus 216, and the Young Artist Debut Orchestra. She takes particular pleasure in performing at house concerts, bringing the beauty of chamber music to intimate audiences. Ellie holds a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from Butler University and a Master of Music in Cello Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy from the Cleveland Institute of Music. She has taken masterclasses with Juilliard String Quartet, Cavani String Quartet, Jaime Laredo, East Coast Chamber Orchestra (ECCO), Brooklyn Rider, and Zuill Bailey. At CIM, she studied under Grammy nominated cellist and member of the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson trio, Sharon Robinson.

Master Teacher with 40 years experience. Conservatory-trained, teaching all ages, specializing in college prep, audition prep, and working with students who are undergoing orthodontic treatment. Students are members of The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, Cleveland Youth Wind Ensembles, Contemporary Youth Orchestra, and World Youth Orchestra (Interlochen.) A former student is a competition winner and holds a tenured chair in a major American orchestra. Many former and current students earned principal chairs at numerous high schools and colleges. Allyson Schuler graduated with a BM in Applied Music, Horn from the Eastman School of Music where she studied with W. Peter Kurau, and she received a BA in Economics from the University of Rochester. She then played fourth horn with the Sarajevo Philharmonia. There she played in classical, pops, ballet, and opera performances. She returned to the US for graduate school at the University of Delaware where she studied with Dr. John David Smith. She returned to Ohio after receiving her MM. Allyson has played with the Lexington Philharmonic and Southwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. She loves teaching horn lessons to both serious students and to students who just want to enjoy playing the horn. Her students range from beginners to seniors in high school and include many students who have switched from other instruments.

By combining his talents as a soloist, recitalist, and orchestral saxophonist across the classical, jazz, and popular music genres, Ethan Miller is redefining the modern image of saxophone and its role within contemporary classical music. His performances have received international acclaim for their expressive timbre, attention to stylistic detail, and adeptness across all members of the saxophone family, making him an in-demand artist for premiere performances of contemporary works. Noted premiers include “Images for Flute, Saxophone & Piano" (Frederick Koch), "Pegasus and Pan” (Thomas Janson), and “Three Cities, Three Streets" (James Wilding). Mr. Miller is a member of Duende – saxophone and guitar duo, and can be heard on their recording, “Travel Notebook” (Centaur Records). Additionally, he has appeared on recordings for Ludwig Music and is in demand as a commercial recording artist. As a Conn-Selmer/Selmer Paris Performing Artist, he frequently appears as a guest artist and masterclass clinician throughout Western New York and the Midwest. Mr. Miller serves on the faculties of Kent State University’s Hugh A. Glauser School of Music and Regional Campuses, Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory of Music, Ashland University, and Maryville University. Kevin Giordano is the instructor of saxophone and clarinet at Lakewood City Schools located in Lakewood, Ohio. In addition to the instructor of saxophone and clarinet at Olmsted Falls Middle School and Academy’s Music Company located in Cleveland Heights, Ohio and Royalton Music Center located in North Royalton , Ohio. Kevin is also on staff with the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony, associated with the Cleveland Institute of Music. His principal instructors include Greg Banaszak and John Perrine on saxophone and Louis Gangale and Ted Johnson (retired Cleveland Orchestra) on clarinet. A native of Brooklyn, Ohio Kevin has been a frequent soloist and recitalist throughout the United States and Europe performing in some of the finest venues in the world. In addition to work abroad Kevin has had the opportunity to perform with the North Coast Saxophone Quartet, Neo-Tessares Saxophone Quartet, University Circle Wind Ensemble directed by Gary Ciepluch and Ted Witt Night Owls A 1920s Dixieland Jazz Band. He has also recorded music for Ludwig Publishing Company in Grafton, Ohio. Kevin maintains a full time saxophone and clarinet studio. He has presented masterclasses to some of the regions most respected school and university music programs in addition to performing at numerous state and national music conventions. Kevin is a member of the North American Saxophone Alliance as well as the Ohio Music Education Association. Kevin has prepared students successfully for all types of events including solo and ensemble contests as well as auditions for the Cleveland Youth Wind Symphony, Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, Cleveland Contemporary Orchestra and the Settlement Jazz Orchestra, among numerous college auditions. Eric Richmond received his undergraduate music education degree from The Ohio State University and his Master of Arts from Case Western Reserve University. He has also taught music in the Cleveland Municipal Schools, East Cleveland City Schools and the Cleveland Heights-University Heights Schools Districts. In addition, he was instrumental music instructor for the REACH program at University School in Hunting Valley, Ohio. Eric has performanced with Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra, The Sounds of Sousa Band, The Allegheny Summer Music Festival with Clark Terry, and the Suburban Symphony Orchestra. Eric has performed at the Place, Ohio and State Theaters with soul music artists such as Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, The Temptations, The Four Tops and The Dells. Also, he has performed with Broadway legends such as Mitzi Gaynor and Diane Carol. Presently, he is on staff at the Cleveland Music Settlement as the low brass instructor and serves as brass/woodwind department chairman. He is a regular guest lecturer at Kent State University’s music education department. Nick Mihalich is a trombone player and teacher with experience playing a wide variety of genres, from Classical to Pop to Jazz to Ragtime, amongst others. He has performed with a variety of ensembles, including the Ohio Light Opera, the Artistic Jazz Orchestra, The Ohio State Symphonic Band, and the DePaul Symphony Orchestra. He has toured with The Ohio State Symphonic Band, encompassing many performances throughout the Washington D.C. area, including shared concerts with the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own” and Herald Trumpets, as well as the Virginia Grand Military Band. Additionally, he has toured with the DePaul Symphony Orchestra throughout the state of Florida, including performances at the Florida Music Educators Association Conference, as well as the New World Center in Miami. In his teaching, Nick recognizes the need for building and improving strong fundamentals at a steady, yet manageable rate. Each student receives individually tailored instruction specific to their needs, goals, and skill level. Additionally, technology is used in engaging and creative ways in order to make the process of learning as enjoyable and efficient as possible. MATTHEW ANKLAN - TRUMPET PLAYER, COMPOSER, INVENTOR, EDUCATOR Matthew Anklan is world-class trumpet player from Cincinnati, Ohio who has performed and recorded with many notable artists and groups including The Who, Iron & Wine, Aretha Franklin, Gregory Porter, Frank Sinatra, Jr., Frankie Valli, Tito Puente, Jr., Bootsy Collins, Gerald Wilson, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (Pops), The Columbus Jazz Orchestra, Bob Beldon, Fred Hersch, Carnival Cruise Lines and many more. Equally at home in any genre of music, Matthew maintains a very active performance schedule. Matthew regularly performs with several groups in the Cincinnati area; The Cincinnati Contemporary Jazz Orchestra (CCJO), River City, and the Blue Ash Montgomery Symphony Orchestra. Matthew also tours with Broadway shows, when time allows. Adam Coffman is an active freelance trumpet performer and teacher in the Cincinnati area. Before coming to Cincinnati, Adam performed with the San Angelo Symphony as the utility/3rd trumpet from 2015-2017. He has also appeared as a guest chamber performer with David Bilger, Robert Sullivan, and Bert Truax at the Truax School of Trumpet. A passionate educator, Adam maintains a private studio at Mason High School and also teaches as part of the Applied Brass faculty for West Chester Academy. His studio consists of students from across the greater Cincinnati area. Additionally, in 2016 he served as the Trumpet faculty at the Angelo State University Summer Band Camp. Coffman has also served as a clinician at varying High Schools in Texas and Ohio.
